Saint Clair EMS has Partnered with Schuylkill Valley EMS to bring much needed training to the residents of Schuylkill County.  Schuylkill County has a high incidence of Heart and Stroke related illnesses.  Personnel are receiving training to provide community information sessions to assist with the prevention and recognition of Heart Disease and Stroke.  Please check back often for more information.

STATION 62 WHERE ARE YOU ?

To the surprise of the Board Members and active Volunteers many of the Borough Elected Officials believe that the Ambulance has "moved" out of town to the township.  The primary staffed station for the Saint Clair Veterans Memorial Ambulance Fund is still and always will be located at 47 North Second Street in the Borough of Saint Clair.  All first due emergency calls are handled from this location.  If you are in the area stop in and say hello.

NEW MEMBERSHIP AND TRAINING

The Saint Clair Veterans Memorial Ambulance would like to welcome all of our new members  Vincent Alessi, Drue Price, Steve Kabaka, and Brent Martin.  They have all been welcomed into our close family and show a great deal of dedication and pride in providing services to our community.  Vinny, Steve and some of our current members Bobby and Heather are attending the Schuylkill County EMT training Institute.  Good Luck Everyone !

SNOW STORM CLOSES 61

March 16th, 2004:

A brief two hour long snow storm dumped about 4 inches of snow in the Schuylkill County area causing two tractor trailers to "jack knife" on Route 61 just north of St. Clair forcing State Police to close Route 61 and detour traffic through St. Clair Borough.

Traffic was re-directed through St. Clair to the Burma Road for all north bound traffic.  Some people however tried to travel north on Second Street (road merges with Route 61) only to find that all entrance ways to 61 were closed causing a back up of traffic through the borough along with 61 North.

Traffic was tied up for over two hours before State Police re-opened the roadway.  No injuries were reported from the tractor trailers.

The next tournament will be held on Saturday the 20th at Station #1 at 14:00hrs.  Thanks to all who took part.
